Picture Of Kyron Robinson

A Computer Science Graduate from the University Of Kent with a passion for web and software development. The tech sphere has been an interest of mine since my early teenage years where I was intrigued on the fundementals of how computers & parts work which has expanded into a high interest in computer science and programming. In my spare time I like to make projects, learn about new frameworks and in general how the tech world is evolving. Most of my experience comes from frontend work but I am currently developing my skills to be more flexible as a full stack developer, and eventually also have the skills to be a competent user of AWS & Azure.

Projects

Freelance Web Developer (HTML, CSS, Javascript, WordPress)

Leveraged HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress expertise to drive agile development for the "FindOpenDays" platform and create the "24 Hour London Care" website. Implemented features like bookmarking, user accounts, and dashboards. Conducted user testing and gathered requirements through interactions with stakeholders and users, demonstrating strong communication skills. Used agile methodology to integrate Google Maps, user accounts, and event tabs, enhancing overall user experience. Organized and facilitated user testing sessions to collect feedback for iterative improvements.

Quiz Creation Platform (React, JavaScript, TailwindCSS, MongoDB, ExpressJS)

Created an interactive web application for creating, managing and taking quizzes. Features include search and filter functionalities for quiz titles, as well as quiz submission and scoring. Used React for dynamic interfaces, TailwindCSS for responsive design, and integrated Express.js for backend routing. MongoDB was employed for efficient data storage and retrieval, enhancing overall user experience and application performance.

Temperature & Humidity Monitoring System (C++, Javascript)

Developed a sophisticated system using an Arduino, DHT11 sensor, and ThingSpeak and Twilio APIs to track temperature and humidity. The system features real-time monitoring, data upload, and SMS notifications for readings outside specified ranges, enhancing the robustness and functionality of the project.

Weather App (Javascript, React)

Developed a responsive web application using React.js to provide real-time weather updates for cities worldwide. Integrated with the OpenWeatherMap API to fetch and display current weather conditions, including temperature, humidity, and wind speed. Implemented dynamic weather icons based on API data. The app features a user-friendly interface with a city search functionality, enhancing accessibility and usability across different devices.

Portfolio Page (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP)

Crafted a professional portfolio webpage showcasing skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Designed with a clean, modern layout for optimal user experience and aesthetic appeal. Implemented responsive design principles to ensure seamless viewing across various devices. Included interactive elements using JavaScript to highlight projects, skills, and contact information effectively. The portfolio serves as a comprehensive showcase of achievements and professional presence online.

Fruit Ninja (Unity, C#)

With a colleague, I developed a replica of the popular game “Fruit Ninja” using Unity game engine and C#. We implemented key mechanics such as swipe gestures controlled via mouse, various fruits with unique abilities, player statistics, animations, sound effects, and a level-up system with perks, culminating in a highly engaging and enjoyable user experience.

TicTacToe (Java)

Made the classic game “TicTacToe” in Java where the player goes against the challenging AI opponent designed to prevent and win against the user. Leveraging Java Swing and AWT, the game provides a simple yet effective interface to match the games complexity
